Autism in Children
Midwest Research Group/St. Charles Psychiatric Associates is conducting a clinical trial of medications for children, ages 5 to 17, who are diagnosed with autism.
This study focuses on the core symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorders, such as social skills and communication issues. The study is testing an investigational medicine that might block a brain receptor thought to play a part in stress, anxiety and aggression. The study will look at how safe and effective the investigational medication is at improving social behavior and communication. This study lasts 39 weeks. Participants in this study may receive study medication or placebo, physician consultation, travel expenses and compensation for their time. No insurance required.
